Qualitative Research Communication for Impact in Public Policy

Most people in the development and public policy ecosystem are constantly talking to communities, partners, frontline workers and officials – but very few have been explicitly taught how to design questions, listen, document, and then turn that into rigorous, usable insight.

Longer certificate courses on qualitative methods exist, but there are very few short, practitioner‑friendly spaces that focus on the everyday research work of programme teams, policy fellows, and early‑career researchers in India.

This masterclass is meant to fill that gap.

Who this is For

  • Early‑ to mid‑career professionals in development, public policy, and impact consulting who already do field visits, stakeholder calls, or interviews as part of their work.

  • Policy students, research assistants, fellows and programme staff who want to move beyond “note‑taking” to designing and running small, credible qualitative studies.

  • Teams that often say “we should learn from the field better”, but don’t have a shared, simple way to do it.
